Number two!
I have now decided to make this blog more about "culture exchange" than just traveling. So in two more days, i have an interview, determining if i will get accepted to the Sister Cities youth ambassador program here in phoenix! So far I haven't been eliminated yet. They received 83 total applications and they have it narrowed down to 45 for the interviews this weekend... There only 20 spots. We will see how it goes. If I don't make it, I can alway always re-apply next year!

The Sister Cities program is all about culture exchanges! If I am accepted I will travel for three weeks to one of 10 countries that will be selected for me. One of the best parts is that I would get to stay with a host family, and get a real impression of what life is like there, not just the tourists impression. upon my arrival home, The student of the family I stayed with would then come and stay with me for three weeks and learn the Arizonian culture!

  1. In my spanish class we talked with the costa rican students and it was really awkward but if you're going to actually spend time with them you will probablly get more comfortable around them, good luck with getting picked and if you do I hope you have fun.
